A Sailing cruise around the gulf of Chania will give your vacations a different view of the city! We set sails every morning at 10am in the Old Venetian Harbour of Chania making a cruise around the gulf of Chania. We will make two stops, anchoring for swimming and relaxation, one at the nearby island of Ag.Theodori which is a protected area of "Natura" as it hosts many birds as well as the wild Cretan goat named "KRI-KRI", and the second stop will be in a secluded beach named "Maherida" and has beautiful turquoise waters. During the stops we will offer you traditional Cretan snacks, season fruits, drinks from the open bar and of course lunch that will be prepared onboard. snorkelling equipment will be provided as well to those who wish to explore the seabed!!! At about 5pm we will be back to the old Venetian port for disembarkation!!!

Amazing Sea Getaway

Amazing sailing experience. First time sailing and would love to go again. It's nice to get out of the city and just enjoy the Sun and the calm waters. The crew members operating the sail boat were amazing people and really easy to talk to and very out going. Definitely recommend to anyone that wants some peace and a view of Chania from the Sea it is really worth it. Thank you again

Perfect end to our trip!

We decided to take a sailing cruise the last day we were in Chania. It was really hard to find something because we were planning last minute and every time we booked something on trip advisor it ended up getting denied. We ended up calling Sailing Cruises Chania directly and they were so helpful in putting something together for us. They didn't have anything that day that went out of the Venetian Harbor where we were staying, so they also arranged transportation for us from Chania to Kissimos port. The driver was there early and was super friendly and gave us lots of great information on the drive. Angelos and Andreas were our skipper and mate and they were wonderful. Riding on the sailboat was so relaxing - I could fall asleep on the boat. The water was so clear and beautiful. We first visited Gramvousa beach and swam for awhile. When we got out of the water we had snacks and then traveled to Balos island where we swam some more and explored the island. I was so excited to see pink sand at Balos. It thought we would only see that at Ellofanisi and we never made it there, so it was a pleasant surprise to see it at Balos. After exploring the beach we swam back to the boat where Andreas had prepared lunch for us. It was so worth it taking the private boat. While we were there we saw the huge ferries coming over with hundreds of people and we were able to enjoy the islands without the crowds.

Fab day out

6 of us went sailing to Gramvousa and Balos beach in September and we loved every minute. Cpt Andreas and Aggelos were fantastic. Aggelos looked after us extremely well catering to our limited experience of boats superbly. I was even given a diving lesson when I mentioned I was learning! My husband, who can’t swim, was taken on and off the boat in a dinghy which was very well handled. We had snacks and food and drinks and all our needs were catered for. We had a wonderful time and we’d certainly recommend the crew and boat. Thank you guys!

Made our perfect day happen!

There are very few options for semi-private/shared cruises and I was excited to see that Sailing Cruises Chania provided that option. Ultimately, we were not able to do a shared cruise as we were only a group of three and there was no second group available that week who we could share with. However, Natassa was great about keeping me updated leading up to our preferred dates and also was able to provide a fantastic alternative that made our Balos Lagoon boat trip possible. Highly recommend!
