Fantastic trip!

This was brilliant! We got so much more than we expected, not just the cooking lesson and delicious food, but lots of interesting information about Crete and it’s history.

Great experience in lovely setting

An very enjoyable evening. Our guide and driver was knowledgeable, engaging and interesting to talk to. Provided info on areas we were passing on way up. Lots on local culture too- interesting facts and history. Thought has been put into it all - from tastng wines to things to do whilst food is cooking. Beautiful late evening views from the cookery school across countryside to the coast. Good company with guests on the tour. A nice activity if you are solo travelling. The food we cooked was good too! Top tip : Wrap up for evenings as mountain is air cooler.

Come prepared to feast! Amazing time!

We had an amazing time with Nikos and the family that welcomed us into their home!! If you’re looking for a great and authentic experience with Cretan locals, this is your tour. First off, you better come hungry because you’re are going to leave stuffed. This is coming from a couple that loves to eat. During the tour we received a brief history lesson as we drove out of the city, we fed the family goats, prepared the meals before the family cooked them, had a wine and cheese tasting, received another history lesson and then feasted on the food we prepared with the family. All in all we tasted about 4-5 different wines and had about 7-9 different plates of different dishes. If this family did a different tour, we would’ve booked that tour had we had more time in Crete. Overall amazing experience, would book through them again if we come back to Crete.

Highlight of our crete trip

Me and my husband had a most wonderful experience with the real cretin cooking experience. We were picked up close to our hotel by yannis on time and driven to the family house. There we met the cook, Diamond (sorry forgot how to spell her name in Greek) and her husband Jorge. We had so much fun cooking healthy vegetable foods, and we learnt new tips and tricks Yannis is very friendly and full of knowledge about many subjects. We had a tour of the family home, ate cheese and breadsticks. We do not drink wine nor eat meat yet our hosts were so kind to make us feel included every step of the way. At the end we ate together and enjoyed ourselves especially the family of four from Boston they were hilarious! Overall u highly recommend this cooking course if you are in crete especially Chania.

Countryside Evening

Lovely visit to foothills of White Mountains. Didn’t get to harvest the veggies prior to class but otherwise brilliant experience. No prior cooking skills necessary, and plenty of wine to calm any nerves
