Every day, the Black Rose embarks on boat tours from the port of Hersonissos through the clear waters of the Cretan Sea to the bay of Saint Georges and further along the coast to Stalis and Malia.

What To Expect
Black Rose Pirate Boat
Every day, the Black Rose embarks on boat tours from the port of Hersonissos through the clear waters of the Cretan Sea. Take the opportunity to enjoy magnificent sea scenes, swim and snorkel in refreshing waters, and enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch.
Make your way to Hersonissos Port and meet the Black Rose, where a friendly and experienced crew will welcome you. Travel through the clear-blue Mediterranean Sea toward the bay of Sant Georges. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling and until you return to the boat, the crew has prepared a delicious BBQ meal. Afterwards you set sails along the coast to the east, to Stalis and Malia, where you have plenty of opportunity to refresh yourself in the blue sea. Pirate animation is during the trip provided for our small fellows.
End your day with a relaxing ride back to Hersonissos Port in the late afternoon.

I booked this trip for myself ,daughter and 12yr old grandson and all i can say is Wow! reading some of the reviews positive and negative I wasn't sure what our experience was going to be like,the crew were funny, witty and very entertaining and we certainly participated and got involved,and hey I was on holiday who cares what my dance moves were like even thou i'm 60 and I got an Honorary Pirate certificate ;0)
The music was loud,and certainly got us all singing,my daughter and grandson loved all the swimming and the scenery was beautiful, the food was lovely very tasty,overall I recommend this boat trip, sit back and enjoy the experience !

The music was loud,and certainly got us all singing,my daughter and grandson loved all the swimming and the scenery was beautiful, the food was lovely very tasty,overall I recommend this boat trip, sit back and enjoy the experience !

Good humoured fun - you get 4 hours on the boat, includes 2 stops for a swim (probably 2 hours water time in total) and lunch (ok bearing in mind it is prepared on a pirate ship and you only pay £42 for the whole experience).

Absolutely fabulous day. Worth every penny. The Staff are amazing. Good food and cheap drinks. 20 family & friends and everyone loved it.

It was a really nice day. The crew was super nice with our kids and the food was really good.
We had big waves that day. Which meant that the second stop was canceled and the tour was only 3 hours. They didn’t really tell everyone about that which was not so good.

Set sail with the pirates as a family with young children.
Boarding was great, with pre photo’s taken, (reasonably priced to buy)
Set sail, with pirate music and some entertainment, then turns to normal music, to let you enjoy the journey.
When you stop, they have inflatable vests for younger kids and lots of pool noodles for everyone to swim with. These were very handy for us with young kids, in addition to armbands we had for kids
Food was plentiful, big pork steak, bread, and box of salad. For veggie’s we got pasta and sauce which was lovely.
Bit of entertainment before setting sail again. Stopped again down the coast for another swim then back to port.
Staff all really friendly, let my little steer the ship, on board bar for drinks was reasonably priced.
Would recommend.
