Beautiful late evening views from the cookery school across countryside to the coast.
Good company with guests on the tour. A nice activity if you are solo travelling. The food we cooked was good too!
Top tip : Wrap up for evenings as mountain is air cooler.
During the tour we received a brief history lesson as we drove out of the city, we fed the family goats, prepared the meals before the family cooked them, had a wine and cheese tasting, received another history lesson and then feasted on the food we prepared with the family. All in all we tasted about 4-5 different wines and had about 7-9 different plates of different dishes. If this family did a different tour, we wouldтАЩve booked that tour had we had more time in Crete. Overall amazing experience, would book through them again if we come back to Crete.
There we met the cook, Diamond (sorry forgot how to spell her name in Greek) and her husband Jorge.
We had so much fun cooking healthy vegetable foods, and we learnt new tips and tricks
Yannis is very friendly and full of knowledge about many subjects. We had a tour of the family home, ate cheese and breadsticks. We do not drink wine nor eat meat yet our hosts were so kind to make us feel included every step of the way.
At the end we ate together and enjoyed ourselves especially the family of four from Boston they were hilarious!
Overall u highly recommend this cooking course if you are in crete especially Chania.
